Tico Cappuccino website design - Desktop & Mobile
This project came from a need to design for a (hypothetical) new coffee shop in Los Angeles, California. This shop is owned by (hypothetical client) a Costa Rican American family that wanted to bring Costa Rican coffee to share with others that have never been to Costa Rica, and with people who have been to Costa Rica that love Costa Rican flavors as much as they do.
When doing research going into this project, I discovered the term “Tico”. Tico is a word Costa Ricans sometimes refer to themselves as. They also use it at the end of some adjectives in a positive way. I wanted to incorporate this term into the shop name to be true to the client. The word “Cappuccino” came from it being in the coffee family and its satisfying flow with the word Tico.
Desktop Design
Here is the desktop design of the Tico Cappuccino website. The color scheme consists of neutrals/browns, green, and some hints of orange. This plays on both the coffee aspect of the shop and gives it a little bit of a tropical feel like in parts of Costa Rica. The sections are separated with green and tan borders that mimics the plants inside the Tico Cappuccino shop. The navigation bar at the top stays at the top as the user scrolls for a seamless navigation experience.
Mobile Design
This is the mobile version of the Tico Cappuccino website. Rather than separate pages of information, the mobile design of the website consists of one long page. The navigation menu helps users find what they are looking for if they do not wish to scroll through all of the information presented on the website. There is an arrow that stays on the bottom of the page for users to click on if they wish to quickly go back to the top of the page.
